Last saturdays Cotswold AS meeting

Was a good one. A nice talk by Nick Hewitt about Planetary Nebulae. Nice to see him covering the later stages of stellar evolution that leads up to planetary nebulae creation, and its amazing how short lived PNe are. An interesting project, perhaps, to search out some proto-planetaries too - possibly a bit faint for visual work.

Sadly no contributions for the second half of the meeting. I will have to prep something for the next meeting....

  1. Yep, it was an excellent talk on Saturday. Sorry I had to dash off...Valentine's Day duties called!

Agree it would be good to line up some more stuff for the 2nd halves of the meetings...

  2. I heard the lecture on Planetary Nebulae by Nick Hewitt in the Summer of 2008. He's always a good talker and injects the right amount of humour into his talks, which are very informative and he easily holds the audiences attention. Worth listening to.
